Booking terms and conditions

Grampians Peaks Walking Company is an entity of Absolute Outdoors Pty Ltd (ABN 93 631 272 047), for the purpose of booking conditions, any reference to one is also a reference to the other. Grampians Peaks Walking Company accepts your reservation/booking under the following terms and conditions. Before purchasing, participants should become familiar with the following terms and conditions. We encourage you to read them carefully.

 

COVID-19 special conditions

$0 Deposit

For the duration of our COVID-19 operating period, we are accepting all bookings with a $0 deposit. No payment will be required at the time of booking. Full payment will not be due until 7 days prior to your activity. If this payment is not made, or other arrangements in place, your booking may be forfeit and made available to be rebooked. When any payments are made, the below terms and conditions apply including our 100% COVID-19 guarantee and our standard cancellation policy for non-COVID related cancellations.

On top of a $0 deposit, all unpaid bookings are 100% flexible, allowing you to reschedule your booking for any reason.

 

100% COVID-19 booking guarantee

You can book in confidence. If we are required to cancel any programs due to changes in government restrictions or actions in line with our COVIDSafe plan, we will endeavour to reschedule your booking to an appropriate time or, if this is not possible, provide a full refund of all monies paid. Likewise, if you cannot attend due to a positive COVID-19 test result, or being a close contact of a positive case, we will attempt to reschedule or provide a full refund. With so much uncertainty right now - your adventure plans don't need to be! Where this special condition contradicts any below general condition, this condition will take precedence. All other terms and conditions stand as stated below.

General terms and conditions

Booking and Payment

Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise specified during the checkout process. Most activities/tours are automatically and instantly confirmed at the time of booking, subject to minimum group sizes and weather conditions. Where automatic confirmation is not available (equipment rentals and hiker services) we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible for confirmation.


Cancellations

We understand unforeseen things happen! We always strive to be as fair and balanced as possible. If you can't make your activity/tour for any reason, our first choice is to reschedule for when you can - subject to original conditions, minimum numbers and weather. If rescheduling is not possible the following refund policy applies:

 

Cancellations within 7 days of activity: No refund possible.

 

Cancellations between 7 and 14 days of activity: 50% refund.

 

Cancellations greater than 14 days ahead of activity: Full refund less a 15% administration fee.


Minimum Group Size and Weather

Absolute Outdoors Pty Ltd reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any activities or tours if the minimum required numbers are not met or if we deem the weather conditions to be unsafe to operate. This could be due to (but not limited to) wind, heat, rain or electrical activity. If Absolute Outdoors cancels an activity or tour for any reason, a reschedule is preferred, alternatively, a full refund will be offered.


Liability Waiver

Your participation in any of our activities is subject to completing our liability release/waiver. A link to this online waiver will be emailed to you after booking or can be filled out in person when checking in. If for some reason you cannot complete the waiver your participation will be denied and subject to our cancellation policy.


Disclosure of medical history & physical condition

At the time of booking, all participants must declare any relevant medical history, physical condition, injury or illness that may impact their participation in the activity or tour. All participants must also declare any medications they will be taking during the activity, prescription or otherwise.


Special requests

If there are any special requests or requirements that may require us to adapt our usual program we would be more than happy to do what we can to assist. Any special requests should be submitted at the time of booking or as soon as possible afterwards.

 

Privacy policy

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us.

Personal Information

All personal information is securely stored and not available or shared outside of our organization unless required for operational or safety purposes. Information transmitted to our suppliers, subcontractors or staff/guides is limited to what is required to safely execute our programs.

Payment details

All online payments are managed via a secure encrypted payment gateway. Your payment details are encrypted and stored against your booking for no longer than 30 days. Any physical records of payment details are destroyed securely.
