Signature Journeys are short, curated, highlight sections of the Grampians Peaks Trail. Each journey has a theme or story that will unfold as you explore and learn more about the landscape in which you travel.
Over 2 or 3 days, you will be guided by one of our expert local guides over some of the most interesting, culturally and environmentally rich sections of the trail and hear some of the tales embedded within the landscape.
In order to be fully immersed within the landscape, our signature journeys will stay on the trail in our supported hiker camps.

Frequently asked questions
Who will be on this Journey?
One of our expert local guides will lead this program from start to finish and be supported by one of our support staff that will assist in setting up and breaking down camps as well as preparing meals.
How long are Signature Journeys?
Signature Journeys are either two days and one night or three days and two nights. For exact durations see the details of each specific itinerary.
Where will I spend the evening?
Evenings will be spent in one of the hiker camps along the trail. Each campsite varies slightly, but they all have raised timber tent platforms, an undercover communal/public shelter with seating and tables and two unisex composting toilets. Some of the communal shelters are 'open-air' and others are enclosed.
What will I sleep on?
Our twin share hiking tents (2 hikers sleeping in a 3 person tent) will be pitched on raised timber tent pads, so they will always be smooth and level and you will sleep on your own inflatable hiking mattress (available for hire if required). One variation to this will be the Gar/Mt Difficult Signature Journey where the two hiker camps will have 'hiker huts'. These huts will be basic sleeping rooms with 2 bunks (4 beds) and mattresses in each.
What is supplied?
Each journey may differ slightly, but most follow a basic trend. We supply anything that is used by or for the group and you will need to pack your own personal clothing and equipment. We will supply things like tents, cooking equipment and food, while you will bring you clothing, backpack, sleeping bag and mattress. See the details of each Journey for a full packing/equipment list.
What do I need to carry?
You will only need to carry your own personal belongings. Essentially, if you bring it yourself, you'll need to carry it! We will take care of all of the group equipment and food. Depending on the season, your backpack will likely weight between 8 to 14kgs.
What will I be eating?
All our programs are filled with healthy, fresh and delicious meals. We will take care of everything (as outlined in each itinerary) for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even some snacks along the way. A typical breakfast on the trail would be muesli or porridge with fresh fruit, tea and quality ground coffee. Lunch could be a freshly prepared cold meat or falafel wrap, and dinner will vary from season to season but always be freshly prepared, as locally sourced as possible and of course, plentiful to keep you fueled! While we will provide some trail mix, snack bars and fruit throughout the day, you are of course welcome to bring your own if you have any favourites!
