HUTS

Our Huts itineraries are, like our Expeditions, fully-guided multi-day journeys along sections of the trail for those that love to hike, no matter your level of experience, and prefer the idea of sleeping in an on-trail hiker hut with a bed and mattress. We take care of all group equipment; you only need to carry your personal belongings each day.

The Grampians Peaks Trail isn’t a loop walk, meaning that you won’t finish up where you start. Don’t get stuck in the bush without a lift.

Whether you want your car waiting for you at the end, or to leave it safely in Halls Gap or Dunkeld, our scheduled bus service can provide the solution. Simple pricing, guaranteed departures. Problem solved.

FOOD DROPS

The Grampians Peaks Trail is a long walk, and food weight can add up quickly. Carry a lighter load and let us do the running around!

We provide sturdy, weatherproof containers for you to pack your food into, and will deliver them to your selected locations along the trail.

On the trail, collect your resupply, deposit any rubbish and continue on your way!

We’re proud to hold accreditation through the Quality Tourism Framework, developed by the Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC), awarded for being outstanding in the fields of Sustainable Tourism and Camp & Adventure. We are a Licenced Tour Operator with Parks Victoria and were awarded Gold in Adventure Tourism at the 2021 and 2022 Victorian Tourism Awards.

These accreditations demonstrate that we follow responsible tourism and sustainable tour practices that result in experiences that are reliable, consistent, predictable, and sustainable; we are “committed to creating high quality, engaging, and memorable visitor experiences that address the changing global trend of experiential tourism.”

We enforce a strict ‘leave no trace’ policy, prohibiting littering and discouraging outdoor toileting. We only wash in purpose-built facilities with adequate filtering, using biodegradable soaps to prevent water pollution. As a company, we minimise single-use plastics, reduce our carbon footprint, and support local environmental projects.

Our environmental objective is for Grampians Peaks Walking Company to be carbon negative and energy positive.

From Kate , our super guide , to Fraser , who cooked, put up tents, and did all the little things along the way , and Adrian (  the Boss and chief organiser ) - we couldn't have asked for a more passionate group who showed us around this part of the world. So if you are a walker , put the Grampians on the list , and look these guys up to help. Can't recommend enough!!

One issue though -  We changed our pick up point at the last minute and Adrian accommodated us! But not without a bit of inconvenience to both him and us. Adrian does need some sort of after hours contact for people using his transport service to avoid this. Transport providers we’ve used in Tasmania and in NZ have this. We intend to use his service again in future.

This is our first sub-5-star review in three years of operation! 😢🙈 We have 24 hr support for our guided walks that are out on the trail with our guides as they are our guests in our care. But as a small locally run business, it’s not feasible for us to have a 24hr phone service for bookings and admin to support our trail support/shuttle bookings. The cost of that kind of admin/booking support would make the shuttle bus so expensive it wouldn’t be a very popular service, which is no good for anyone.

Wanted to walk a section of The Grampians Peaks Trail and needed transport back to car. Mitch was able to suggest pick up points and arranged everything for me. Imogen was on time on pick up and a wealth of knowledge in regards to the trail and possible ideas for next time, and everything went to plan. Would highly recommend these guys for all your transport needs whilst on the trail. They were very reasonably priced for a solo traveller.

It meant while I could be alone in the bush, I didn't feel isolated or on my own. The team's local knowledge not only made my hike more enjoyable, but more safe (extreme weather event impacted me, suspect that's not uncommon!). Definitely recommend popping into the shop for some supplies (great stuff in store!) as well as top advice and super helpful crew.

Extremely well posted with there triangle yellow marker's and incredible views waterfalls and bush sights. I highly recommend this area for one day to fourteen days of incredible hiking.
