Day 1 – Friday PM
Halls Gap is centrally located in the Grampians National Park approximately 3 hours west of Melbourne. After arriving and settling in your accommodation venue, (a comfortable, spacious cabin overlooking the National Park), you will have time to have some lunch [own cost] before we embark on our first activity at 2:30 pm. Canoeing at Lake Bellfield is a very relaxing way to start the weekend. With panoramic 360 degree views of the National Park, we will take a leisurely paddle along the lakes shoreline. This is an easy paddle, which gets us home with plenty of time to relax and breathe in the serenity before dinner.
Day 2 - Saturday
For the early birds you have a choice of either a leisurely guided walk or a movement session before breakfast at 8:00 am. After breakfast today we will pack a picnic lunch, fill up the water bottles and grab a camera. We have all morning to complete the Grampians Peaks Pinnacle – Wonderland Range bush walk (5.5 kms) which takes us past spectacular Grampians views and sandstone rock formations. After a relaxing lunch break at the Wonderland Carpark, we have a go at abseiling in the Grand Canyon. A ‘challenge by choice’ activity that just happens to have some great views! Around 4:30 pm we will arrive back in Halls Gap with bit of relaxation time to explore the village of Halls Gap, go for a short town walk, check out the kangaroos on the town oval, relax, or visit the local art gallery. A 6:30 pm dinner will end the day.
Day 3 - Sunday
For the early birds you have a choice to check out the morning view from the seat of a mountain bike as we ride through the Red Gum Forests close to Halls Gap or just enjoy a slow start to your Sunday morning absorbing the peace and tranquility. After breakfast we will visit the iconic McKenzie Waterfall, Reeds Lookout including the famous ‘Balconies’ and Boroka Lookouts. We will stop for a final picnic lunch at Lake Wartook before arriving back in Halls Gap at approx. 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
